Stocklands in Earlville will be holding an Easter Extravaganza on April 15th with an Easter Bonnet Parade, Easter Egg Hunt and plenty of family fun – more details here

The Cairns Regional Art Gallery has so many classes on for creative kids – you can sign up to weave your own Easter basket, make Easter paper-sculptures or wall hangings based on Australian animals for an Australian Easter celebration, create a self portrait or mask, make fridge magnets and button faces or learn imaginative drawing techniques. Classes start from just $13 and you can see the full schedule here.
The Tanks Arts Centre also has some creative workshops for kids happening using basic materials and a little imagination – click here to find out more.
Head down to the Salt House on April 22nd to celebrate the beautiful bats of Cairns. There will be live music, microbat detecting, kids crafts, educational talks, flying fox flyout interpretive talks, a GREAT raffle, BBQ, Zoo To You and more!

The Easter Bunny in the Sky
If you’ve never headed up to Kuranda on Easter Weekend we can definitely recommend it – the highlight being the Easter Bunny raining thousands of chocolate eggs on the crowd from up in a crane. There is always loads to do with entertainment and activities. This year the celebrations will take place on Easter Saturday 15th April
Animal Education Day
On April 22nd in Gordonvale there will be a fun filled morning of all things animal. There will be a petting zoo, police dogs, a fun parade, market stalls and entertainment.
